Online Housing Application Important Information

Please read carefully before applying.

Applications are accepted in our drop box 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year or at the AHA office located at 111 W. Springfield Street in Aurora, Missouri from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday-Friday. The AHA office is closed all holidays. There is no application fee. If you have questions about the application, please call 417-678-5437 for assistance.


We do not accept faxed applications. Please read the application carefully and complete all questions. Incomplete applications cannot be processed and will be destroyed after 30 days.


A copy of a current state issued picture ID is required for all occupants age 17 1/2 or older. A copy of a Social Security card is required for all occupants regardless of age. The AHA staff will make copies of Social Security cards and state picture IDs to keep with your application. Please bring them in during the office hours listed above. If you choose to provide copies of your ID(s) and SS card(s) with your application, pictures and print on the copies must be clear and legible.


If you have more than 2 adults (with or without children), you must complete and return an application packet for each additional adult. Contact the AHA office if you have more than 4 adults applying for housing.


Please note: Birth Certificates will be required before being housed at any AHA properties.

Gross income of the applicants' household (before any tax or deductions) is used to determine eligibility. Please refer to our Income Limits to determine your eligibility to apply for housing with AHA.


Applicants are responsible for reporting any changes of address and phone numbers in writing, signed, and dated as quickly as possible. We cannot accept changes over the phone. If AHA staff cannot contact you, your application may be placed inactive.
